ACOE’s AEA and AFT Membership Cancellation System

IMPORTANT: Your AEA or AFT cancellation form will not be sent to AEA or AFT until June!!
Cancelling AEA: When you press the submit button below, ACOE will send an email to AEA with a PDF of your cancellation request attached. We will also email you a copy of your cancellation PDF and any further instructions you may need to complete your AEA cancellation.
Cancelling AFT: When you press the submit button below, ACOE will send an email to AFT with a PDF of your cancellation request attached. We will also email you a copy of your cancellation PDF and any further instructions you may need to complete your AFT cancellation.
IMPORTANT: For security purposes, ACOE will record your IP address. Also, you can only use an email address one time.
AEA has changed the way it wants to be contacted when members cancel.
We believe the new process is much easier. Please follow the steps shown below.

A personal email address is best.
Each email address can be used only one time.
Be sure to check your spam folder for emails from ACOE or your current association.
ACOE will send you an email when you SUBMIT your cancellation information.
ACOE will also send you an email on the date you requested your cancellation be sent to your current association.
ACOE will send one follow-up email to you 6 days after your cancellation email is sent.
Baldwin County Schools Special Instructions:
DO NOT send any forms or cancellation emails to Baldwin County Schools. ALL you need to do is contact your current association.
St. Clair County Schools Special Instructions:
After you contact AEA or AFT, you MUST submit a cancellation form through TalentEd. No other form of notification will be accepted by payroll. If you have any questions or need help with this step, please ask your school bookkeeper for assistance.

JEFCOED Schools Special Instructions: Special Form Needed!!!
JEFCOED AEA and AFT members who wish to cancel payroll deductions must notify the Jefferson County payroll department, on a 2024-2025 JEFCOED Cancellation Form, by 4 pm on September 15th. Additionally, AEA members who are paying A-Vote fees through monthly bank drafts must also instruct AEA to cancel those bank drafts.
You will be given an opportunity to download the JEFCOED form when you press the SUBMIT button at the end of the cancellation process. ACOE will also email you a copy of the form.

If you have filled-out a paper cancellation form, you have the option of uploading it here. It will be submitted along with the pdf created by ACOE's online system.
IMPORTANT: For extra protection in all school districts except Baldwin County, be sure to contact your district payroll department and let them know that you DO NOT want AEA or AFT dues to be deducted from your pay during this school year.

IMPORTANT: ACOE cannot cancel your membership in any association. It is still your responsibility to make sure you are cancelled before the September 15th deadline.
