ACOE’s Membership Referral Program

  • The referral program begins on January 1st of each year and ends on December 31st of the year.

VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW: Once an application is received in the ACOE office for processing, whether it is a paper application or an online application, we CAN NOT add a name or alter the name listed on the Referred By line.


Recruiting Incentive Guidelines:

Current ACOE Members:

1. Members who recruit 1 new member will receive a 50% Reimbursement of their membership fees.

2. Members who recruit 2 new members will receive a 100% Reimbursement of their membership fees.

3. Members who recruit more than 2 new members will receive $100 for each additional new member up to 5 members total. ($510 max refund for the year)

Non-ACOE Members:

1. Non-Members who recruit new members will receive $100 for each recruit up to a total of 5 members. ($500 max refund for the year)

2. Non-Member’s name must be listed on the “I was referred by” line of a paper ACOE membership application form or be given referral credit on the ACOE online application system.

3. Non-Members must register for the discount program at www.ACOE.us so we will know where to mail checks. 

Rules for ALL Recruiters:

4. To receive credit for new recruits, the new recruit MUST list the name of ONE person only (member or non-member) who recruited/referred them to ACOE. On paper application or through ACOE online system. Name of person cannot be changed later.

5. Recruiting credit cannot be split among more than one person. If multiple persons are listed on the “I was referred by” line, ACOE will choose which person will receive credit.

6. Non-Members who recruit MUST register at www.ACOE.us .

7. Credit will not be given for recruiting current members, or anyone who was a member in the previous school year.

8. Credit will not be given for recruiting current members who are transferring to a different school or school system.

9. Two individuals cannot recruit each other—only one will be given credit.

10. Incentives will not be paid for recruiting Student-Teacher Members as Student Teacher Membership fees are only $25.

11. An ACOE Student Teacher Member who joins ACOE as a Certificated Educator cannot be recruited. (They already receive a dues discount)

12. Recruiting Incentives will not be paid simply because someone submitted an application; the recruit must be a member of ACOE in good standing at the time incentive checks are issued. For example: if a member recruits a new member and sends in the membership application, but the new recruit subsequently resigns or fails to pay ACOE dues, incentives will not be paid as the new recruit must remain an ACOE member in good standing for at least six months or pay full ACOE dues for the year. In other words, an ACOE member cannot earn a refund of dues that have not been paid to ACOE by the member he or she referred.

13. ACOE members who are not in good standing, not paid dues, or have resigned membership, will receive $100 per new member referred up to $500 max for the year.

14. Recruiting Incentives earned on new members who joined after December 31st will be paid the next December.

15. Reimbursement and incentive checks will be processed and mailed to the address we have on file in late November / December. Please be sure that you have communicated any address changes with us.

16. ALL MEMBERS should verify their personal demographic information that is e-mailed to EVERY member in late summer each year, including name, address, home e-mail address and phone numbers, school, etc. IF YOU DID NOT receive an electronic Welcome Back packet in September, we might not have your correct email address, or ACOE emails are going into your SPAM Folder—those who did not receive their packet should contact ACOE at Membership@ACOE.us or call our office at 866-266-2263, and provide your current email address and demographic information so you receive your referral check in a timely manner.

IMPORTANT REMINDER
17. Recruiting should be done on members’ own time and not on school time and not using school system resources or supplies. Some systems do not allow ACOE members to use school e-mail systems for recruiting purposes. Please make sure that you follow your school system’s policies.
